Each piece is handcrafted to the highest quality standards, representing the long-standing tradition of German craftsmanship.
This stein was decorated in the so-called "Rustic Style" technique:
Colors are applied by hand-painting but there is no transparent glaze, covering the entire stein and make it shiny.
The Rustica steins come more in natural color. Besides this, there
After this has been completed, the stein is coated with transparent glaze to "seal" the stein and it is fired in the kiln.
This kind of stein gets a very unique look, resulting from the color combination of the natural clay color (grey stoneware) and the cobalt blue coloring.
Alternatively, we do offer this stein in the so-called "cobalt, hand-painted" version as well: After the same production steps as for the "Old German Style" technique, the motifs are painted with color per hand and fired afterwards again.
Both versions have their own charme and it is just a matter of your personal taste that makes you chose what fits best to you.
